We have all heard that fruit and veg are at their absolute best when they are in season. However, with access to fresh produce from all over the world, it can be hard to know what’s in season in your part of the world – magnificent Tasmania.
Well you’re in luck! Tasmania has an amazing array of fruit and vegetables that abundantly make their way into season in Autumn. There’s so much to look forward to over the next few months! We’ve linked some of the fresh foods below to recipes that make great use of them.
Vegetables include: artichokes, asparagus, baby kale, beans, beetroot, bok coy, broad beans, broccoli, cabbages, carrots, cauliflower, chard, chickory, chillies, Chinese celery, Chinese water spinach, Choy sum, corn, cucumbers, garlic, herbs, kale, leeks, micro greens, mustard greens, onions, pak choy, parsnips, peas, potatoes, radish, rhubarb, rocket, salad mix, silver beet, sorrell, spinach, squash, swedes, tomatoes, turnips and zucchini… wow!
